Volunteer actors needed for community service film

Volunteer actors are needed for a video about the financial abuse and exploitation of senior citizens. The production will be taped in August.

Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon., July 25 and Fri., July 29 in the community room of the Newbury Park Branch Library at 2331 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.

Roles to be filled include several males age 60 and up, two male salesmen age 20s-30s, male handyman, lazy son age 30s, male telemarketer, frail-looking female and a retired homemaker.

The video is being produced as a community service through the Ventura County Financial Abuse Specialist Team in cooperation with Thousand Oaks’ Senior Concerns agency.
