Newbury Park softball team heading to Texas for ASA Softball Nationals

LONE STAR STATE: LOOK OUT—After being crowned the champions of Western District ‘B’ and earning a fourth-place finish at state, the Newbury Park 10U Gold softball team is heading to San Antonio for a shot at a national title. The players include: Courtney Birkett, Savannah Carpenter, Lauryn De La Torre, Katelyn Fenstermacher, Michalla Greer, Amy Groth, Naomi Hudgins, Kourtney Kuder, Michelle Moss, Lauren Shane and Kelly Reinke and Michelle Smith. The coaches are: Manager Kenny Kuder, Chuck Smith, Linda Groth and Karen Hudgins. Anyone who would like to help soften the team’s financial burden is encouraged to call Jan Smith at (805) 480-0843.
