Thousand Oaks Rotary honors 25 local students

The Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks’s 19th annual Citizenship Awards Program honored 25 students of the Conejo Valley Unified School District for scholarship, leadership, citizenship and contributions to the community.

The recipients were Kevin Guan, Acacia Elementary; Elizabeth Riedell, Aspen Elementary; Katherine Trockey, Banyan Elementary; Jake Kneller, Colina Middle School; Paige Montes, Conejo Elementary; and Andie Brunk, Cypress Elementary.

Eliana Lemus-Luna, Glenwood Elementary; Alissa Ross, Ladera Elementary; Erin Foley, Lang Ranch Elementary; Ali McCranie, Los Ceritos Middle School; Sara Bailey, Madrona Elementary; Kevin Castillo, Manzanita Elementary; and Quinn Conley, Maple Elementary.

Nick Lovulla, Meadows Elementary; Ivan Hernandez, Park Oaks Elementary; Jacqueline Manzer, Redwood Middle School; Erica Ferretiz, Sequoia Middle School; and Stephen Barrus, Sycamore Canyon Elementary.

Nina Sobierajski, Sycamore Canyon Middle School; Devereaux Stewart, University Elementary; Jessica De La Torre, Walnut Elementary; Jenna Wooster, Weathersfield Elementary; Sara Rothschild, Westlake Elementary; Jayson Samaan, Westlake Hills Elementary; and Ansley Knipper, Wildwood Elementary.

Every elementary and middle school in the district was asked to nominate a youth who filled certain criteria. Staff and faculty submitted information about the nominee’s school, charitable and civic contributions.
